Business Beautification & Dark Sky Program

The Town's program is designed to encourage businesses to make improvements that benefit both their individual property and the appearance of Brian Head as a whole.

1. Identify Your Project

   Consider an exterior improvement or lighting retrofit that would enhance your business property or help bring your exterior lighting into compliance with the Town's Dark Sky requirements.

2. Complete the Application

   Businesses interested in participating should complete the Business Beautification Program Application and provide the information requested by the Town. Include a site plan showing the parcel and the proposed improvements, such as color palettes, sample materials, pictures of existing adherence to the Land Management Code guidelines. Minimum of three quotes from qualified contractors/service providers showing the anticipated cost of the improvements.

3. Town Review

   Applications are reviewed by the Town to determine eligibility and whether the proposed project meets the objectives and requirements of the program. Applications will be elevated on a first-come, first-served basis and approval or denial will be granted within four weeks of the stat of receipt of a completed application.  Once reviewed by Town staff, a recommendation will be made to the Planning Commission who will have final approval 

4. Complete Your Improvement

   Once approved, the business can move forward with the project in accordance with the requirements established by the Town. The business will have 180 days from the approval to complete the improvements.  Extension may be granted for extenuating circumstances by the Town Manager.
